On 12th March 2024, inauguration of the book containing the papers submitted for the National Conference on 24th and 25th February 2023, namely “NEP - 2020 and its effective implementation: Preparing teachers for next generation learners”, was done by Dr. Parag Kalkar, Pro Vice Chancellor, Savitribai Phule Pune University. Summer Vacation Student Activity-2024 Hurray!! Exams are over...holidays have started, mom, what should I do now, I'm bored, these kinds of conversations happen every year during vacations. As teachers, our contact with the students is also a little less. Thinking about all this, and to make the vacation of the students very interesting, we are implementing this activity. Due to this the students will be in your connect with you and through small things, experiments, they will also stay connected with studies. White Paper We are pleased to present the comprehensive white paper resulting from the National Conference organized by CTEF, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), and MAAP E.P.I.C Communications Pvt. Ltd. The conference, titled "NEP 2020 and Its Effective Implementation: Preparing Teachers for the Next Generation Learners," was held on February 24th and 25th, 2023. The conference saw active participation from 130 registered attendees and received 30 paper submissions. Out of these, 15 papers were discussed across various sessions. The conference provided a platform for educators to share their ideas and experiences, which led to identifying gaps between school and college education and proposing solutions to bridge these gaps. A pre-conference survey questionnaire on NEP received a positive response, and the reflections and thoughts of the participating teachers are included in this white paper. Additionally, we are very thankful to you for sharing your insights on the conference, the current education system, and the implementation of NEP. A nation is built by its citizens, citizens are moulded by teachers, and teachers are made by teacher-educators. It is very important to have good teachers and good teachers can be produced only if we have a good system for teacher education and dedicated and efficient teacher-educators. The teacher can be rightly called a nation-builder. Students transitioning to college are often underprepared for the demands and find it difficult to cope up. This is first ever initiation by a non-educational private organization and Savitribai Phule Pune University, & CTEF with the thought to “identify & bridging the gaps between primary education, elementary education & university education”. Special activity on Science-Mathematics Correlation during Science Week.. Organising a special activity on Science-Mathematics Correlation during Science Week. Pimpri Chinchwad Science Park is celebrating 'Science Week' on the occasion of 'National Science Day 2023'. The program organised for that purpose includes many activities related to science. Every creation of our daily life involves science and every science is associated with mathematics, thus we use mathematics everywhere every day without realizing it. It is necessary to recognize and bridge the gap between practical and theoretical concepts in science in relation to mathematics and also to develop reasoning, logical thinking to match the current situation which students lack. Some learning assessments show that many school-going students still avoid learning the basics of numeracy and literacy. For this, it is necessary to make students friendly with mathematics and to create a positive attitude towards mathematics among the students, and recognizing this need, a special section 'Mathematics' has been set up by Map Communications Institute in the program of Science Week. Map Communications is working in collaboration with 42 Science Park to reach out to students across the country to help them understand the potential of science experiments and how calculations can benefit them. The relationship between science, experiment and mathematics will be explained through expert lectures and students will be made to think independently on this subject. The expected effect of this will be to bridge the gap between practical and theoretical experiments.
