Aanknaad- Here To Eliminate The Fear Of Mathematics!

Various governmental, as well as non - governmental surveys, indicate that we are currently in a learning crisis: a large proportion of students in elementary school - estimated to be over 5 crores in number - have not attained foundational literacy and numeracy, i.e., the ability to read and comprehend basic text and the ability to carry out basic addition and subtraction with Indian numericals. Attaining foundational literacy and numeracy for all children will thus become an urgent need. The learning shall be based primarily on play-based learning with a focus on developing cognitive, affective, and psychomotor abilities and early literacy and numeracy. It is often said that Mathematics is the mother of all Sciences and Mathematics is related to every aspect of human life. In our daily routine we use Mathematics everywhere. For eg: daily business, calculations, travel & distances, weights & measures etc. Mathematics is an essential part of our everyday life. It is a known fact that the majority of young school kids develop a fear towards mathematics in schools which leads to a certain dislike for the subject.

To develop a liking towards the subject and make it easier to pursue further, MAAP EPIC Communications Pvt Ltd, has come up with a system called as 'Aanknaad' – System for Assimilation (Deep Rooting of core fundamentals of Mathematics in a friendly manner). Given the fact that there persists a substantial section of the population whose digital access is highly limited, Aanknaad System will be made available 24/7 in different languages to cater to the varying needs of the student population through Mobile/Web based application as well as through encoded Audio Players. A special focus on content in all Indian languages is already underway and will be made available soon. At present the system is available in Marathi language. Plans to develop this system in English, Hindi, and few other Indian languages as well as foreign languages are on the anvil and will be launched soon in the near future.
